Location: West of M3, approximately 3km south of Dunshaughlin, in the townlands of Mill Land, Raynestown and Derrockstown
Status: Preliminary Design and Environmental Impact Assessment
Description: the team is currently undertaking preliminary design and an environmental impact assessment. This will enable the extent of the land required for the proposed development to be determined. An Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) will then be prepared for submission to An Bord Pleanála.

A Pre-Planning Public Consultation event was held by Transport Infrastructure Ireland (formerly the NRA) on the 9th February 2017 in the Dunshaughlin Civic Offices. Transport Infrastructure Ireland (formerly the National Roads Authority) is holding a Pre Planning Public Consultation to obtain people’s views and comments on the proposed M3 Motorway Service Area, located in the townlands of Raynestown, Derrockstown and Mill Land. The Public Consultation will be held at Dunshaughlin Civic Offices, Drumree Road, Dunshaughlin, Co. Meath on Thursday 9th February from 4pm to 8pm . You are invited to attend and make your views known.

Following the conclusion of the site selection study, the preferred site has been identified as Site 2A located west of the M3, approximately 3km south of Dunshaughlin, in the townland of Mill Land, Raynestown and Derrockstown. Following approval from TII, the team is now proceeding to develop the preliminary design of the MSA. The Site Selection Report is available to view below.
